Kauai Shores Hotel

Had a great stay here. Older hotel that has been updated recently. Our room had a musty odor, but looked very clean so I think it's from age, but 1st impression made me deduct a star for that. Beds were comfortable. Shower had great water pressure. Lanai was great and we had kauai coffee in the room. They also provided refillable water bottles which was nice and had filtered water. On site laundry for $4 per load. Service was friendly, on site restaurant was good and convenient. We saw 2 pools, hot tub, nice beach out front, also bikes you can use, umbrellas and lawn games. There are some shops and restaurants within walking distance so you could do without a car, but I would highly recommend one for seeing the island. This location was a perfect base for site seeing around the island. Parking can be tight, so the complimentary valet is appreciated.

We had a wonderful stay at Kauai Shores Hotel. The location is extremely convenient — just a short drive from Lihue Airport, which made traveling with our baby so much easier. Check-in was quick and seamless, and the property is right by the beach with a beautiful, well-maintained facility. We personally loved the room we stayed in. The bed was very comfortable, and there was plenty of space for me, my husband, and our baby. We had enough room to set up a crib and even create a small diaper station without feeling cramped. That extra space made a big difference for our family. The shower was excellent — it got very hot (which I personally love!) and was easily adjustable. Everything in the room was very clean and well cared for. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Kauai. Mahalo for such a great stay!

Excellent place to stay. All staff were kind and did their jobs well. Love the location on the island. Enjoyed the layout of the buildings and our room. Ideally, you want a room with at least a garden view where you can look towards and see the ocean (unless you purchase an ocean view room). All staff were kind and did their jobs well. Room was clean, great shower and plenty of space for luggage. The food is very good (and expensive as you would expect). Great music from the the Lava Lava Beach Club which is on the property. We were in Lani 264 (Garden Room) that was great, not close to a stairwell, and we could see the ocean from a distance.

Loved our stay at Kauai Shores. Rooms were very clean, comfortable beds. We had an ocean view from our lanai. Since it was our second week in the islands, it was nice to have laundry facilities available. There was a lovely beach area as well as lawn area with yard games. Loved using the bikes to explore. The hotels location was great to go either west or north. The Lava Lava Beach Club was a bonus as we celebrated our 40th anniversary with a candlelight dinner on the beach. There is also a short boardwalk that runs along the beachfront that is great for walking or biking. The grounds/landscaping were immaculate and beautiful. Parking can be tight but they do have complimentary valet service if you can’t find a spot. We would definitely stay again.

Our second trip at this hotel. Perfect location, perfectly quaint. Service has been amazing. Lava Lava Beach Club has great food with a ridic view. Rooms available with a kitchenette. Travel hack: the Island Market across the street has amazing food and all the things as well.

This hotel is perfect. The rooms are ultra clean and appear to have recently been updated. The hotel is right on one of the best beaches in Kauai and has a small pool and hot tub. The Lava Lava restaurant has incredible food and drinks right on the beach. There are nearby coffee shops and restaurants. You can borrow a bike from the hotel and ride 6 miles and back on the coastline paved bike trail. Where else do you have all of these amenities? Most resorts you are trapped without a car, here you have tons of freedom to explore on foot.

We had an excellent stay at Kauai Shores! Check in and check out we're a breeze and morning yoga was delightful. Room was clean and quiet. We got room 106 with an ocean view and garden level patio for enjoying the ocean waves at night. Lava Lava Beach Club was such a treat and great place to unwind after adventuring during the day. Kapa'a is a great town with Nepali Brewing, Passion Bakery, and Inua Cafe all within a 5 min walk. The coconut village shopping area was great as well. Would highly recommend Kauai Shores to anyone looking for a really nice central spot on Kauai.

We really enjoyed this hotel. First off, the location for us was perfect since we were exploring the entire island and had early mornings both north and south so I feel like the location was a great middle ground. The design was cute and the restaurant on site was a nice touch. We enjoyed breakfast on our last morning and sitting outside overlooking the ocean was a great way to end our time on Kauai. Also, the nightly live music was lovely. The staff were amazing! I left a very important thing in the safe and the team immediately went into action when we called them from the airport. Everyone from the housekeeping staff to the front desk to the manager worked quickly to find our item, get it safely to the front desk and packaged for delivery to our next stop. Can't thank them enough for that!
